How to Block Day Off Requests
Note: Day Off Requests are visible in both the PackageRoute Mobile App and WebApp. However, setting custom limits can only be accessed from the PackageRoute WebApp from a web browser.
The PackageRoute Timecard functionality helps drivers communicate scheduling requests to managers, using the ability to request days off in Timecards. As an AO or BC, you can set limitations on this function through the calendar year. Reduce friction with your drivers, and plan for when you'll need them to come in, months ahead of time.
The contents of this article are covered as a Youtube tutorial as well:
Timecard Settings
To set custom limits on specific days, visit the PackageRoute WebApp and navigate to Timecards Settings.
Day Off Request Limits
Scroll until the 'Day Off Requests' settings are visible. To block off a specific day from being requested off: select the date on the calendar, and lower the default number of requests allowed by drivers to ZERO in the drop down menu.
Navigate from month to month to plan for critical holidays, and days with high expected volume.
Block Using the Shift Scheduler
PackageRoute Timecards and Shift Scheduler are tightly integrated. Any limits set in the Scheduler will be reflected in Timecards as well. While creating a shift schedule, simply select the date column of the specific day you would like to limit.
Then, change the permitted day off requests counter down to ZERO, as you would in Timecard Settings.
